Very Rare Antique Japanese Military Embossed Plane Base China Map Army Sake CupThis is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a map of North China including Nanjing, Shanghai etc. The words are "Victorious Return Commemoration" "20th Infantry". The exterior of the cup is in the shape of a helmet with an embossed plane in the center on the back as a base. This design is quite rare. Condition: Excellent light fading of some of the words Size: 2" across

Condition: Excellent - light discoloration of the gold

There's a crease in the glaze at 3 o'clock due to imperfect craftsmanship

The shop's name is at the bottom and the back - it's in Hiroshima

decorated with a soldier standing guard with his rifle and bayonet and a flag hanging from it

Condition: One small spot of damage of the lacquer paint

decorated with a helmet that's raised

The words on the back are "4th Cavalry Regiment" and the soldier's name Hosoda

The tray is a bit warped
